Information handled by Maitri+

Maitri+ may handle your BMU/BML student email address, academic information returned by the Maitri portal after you sign in, locally stored app preferences, and a temporary authenticated portal session where supported by the device and portal.

Login and passwords

Maitri+ opens the official Maitri portal inside an in-app browser view for sign-in. Maitri+ does not collect, transmit to its developer, or store your Maitri password in its own storage. Password saving and autofill, when available, are handled by your device's password manager.

How information is used

• To show attendance, marks, timetable, profile, and academic calendar information.
• To calculate attendance projections locally on your device.
• To remember app preferences such as theme, semester selection, and attendance-planning settings.
• To maintain your signed-in portal session where applicable.

Data sharing

Maitri+ does not sell, rent, or share your personal or academic information with advertisers or data brokers.

Your sign-in and academic requests are sent to the official Maitri portal operated by BML Munjal University. That portal's own privacy practices apply to information submitted to it.

Data storage and security

Most app preferences are stored locally on your device. You can clear the app's data or uninstall Maitri+ to remove locally stored app data. Although reasonable measures are used to protect data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

Children

Maitri+ is intended for university students and is not designed for children.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The last-updated date will be revised when changes are made.
